Frank listens intently to everything Imogene says. He likes the expressions of emotion that shows on her face, emotions she's never learned to hide or cover up. He likes the way her eyes mist over when she tells the hurtful parts of her story. She's so honest. So innocent. He likes looking at the way her mouth moves when she talks. She pronounces each word distinctly, and each sound shapes her delicate mouth into a perfect pitch. He is wondering what the mouth would feel like pressed to his. He lets his thoughts carry him a little further until she starts explaining how she'd run into her husband just as he was getting off the elevator at the Shelby Towers. That bastard didn't even recognize his own wife. But, then she has quite an imagination. Who would have figured she'd take a memory foam pillow and carve out a pregnancy? She is really something. So small and fragile, but gutsy and smart.

Frank has no doubt her creep of a husband married her for her money, with or without a prenuptial agreement. She thinks her husband isn't after her money because she has that prenup, but Frank knows there is more than one way to get around prenups. The fact the creep hocked her diamond ring speaks volumes about his character. Frank has to use every trick he's ever learned in training with the FBI to keep his face neutral while Imogene is telling him her tale of betrayal. He is furious that someone, anyone wants to hurt her. If his sister weren't right there making up a bed for him on the couch, he'd wrap Imogene in his arms and not let anything happen to her, except for things they both would enjoy.

After Imogene lies down in the baby's room, he has a quiet conversation with Janey about the need for him to continue to stay with Imogene until the guys who are after her are caught. Janey doesn't see the need since no one knows Imogene is here; then, seeing his determination, she reluctantly agrees. They've done all they can for the night. Frank needs to get his sleep. He will need to dig deeper into Imogene’s case early tomorrow morning if he's going to help her.

Before Janey turns in for the night, she gives Frank access to her computer so he can check his e-mails. He laughs to himself when he discovers the e-mail from Imogene asking for his help.

So she's the smart Penelope of the novels he's been dying to meet? He'd gladly help her with anything she wants, especially anything she might like to do undercover. But, he reminds himself she's married. He shuts the computer off and tries to switch his thoughts over to just getting a good night's sleep on Janey's lumpy couch. He doesn't covet other men's wives no matter how screwed up the marriage is. Sleep is all he is going to try to get tonight.
